Rosemary & Pumpkin Wreath

I love projects that are incredibly simple, require few materials and look like a million bucks - well, this is one of those! Combining the bright seasonal pop of mini-pumpkins with fragrant and lush rosemary creates a wreath that’s a show stopper….and only takes about 30 minutes.

MATERIALS

  • 12 real mini-pumpkins

  • Fresh rosemary springs 6”-8” long

  • 12 Floral picks

  • Grapevine wreath

  • Drill (optional)

STEPS

Insert a rosemary spring into the side of the wreath at an angle. The tightness of the vines should hold the spring in place without a need to secure it.

Add a second spring next to the first and continue around the edge of the wreath until you’ve come full circle…literally.

Insert the non-wired end of floral pick into the bottom of each pumpkin. This can usually be done by hand if you use a little force. If you’re having problems going into the center, go slightly off center into the flesh. If you’re using a drill, it’s easy breezy. Just choose a bit that’s slightly thinner than your picks and drill about an inch into the pumpkin and then slip the floral pick into the opening.

Once all of your pumpkins are properly skewered, slip the wired end of the pick into the wreath, grab the wires at the back of the wreath, and twist to secure the pumpkin in place.

Continue around the wreath in a single line. When you get to the last 3 or 4 pumpkins adjust spacing so you won’t have a gap between your first and last pumpkin.

And….. you’re done! Simple, modern, festive. What more could you want from an autumn wreath.
